Really enjoyed visiting with family this week (seems to be a theme this month and I’m not complaining). One of my favorite things was watching Grant play with his Great Grandpa. It is amazing how little boys just know instinctively who the guys are in the room and are 100% sure that they would want to play with matchbox cars as much as they do. So cute! I am definitely welcoming the fall weather, but not wanting these beautiful days to turn into cold ones just yet…although those first snowflakes are magical.

We had a great time snowboarding at Snowshoe this past weekend. Great photos and a fun layout! Grant did not like the snow/cold, I bundled him up and put him in the snow and he cried. Oh well, this time next year Grant will probably love it.

Scrapartist.com has a free weekday workshop for the first 50 who sign up. This week the topic is journaling. Working on my winter album, here is a LO of our friends. Credits include a template from Tiffany Tillman, Paislee Press Mid Winters Flight, and Catherine Designs Winter Retreat. Journaling reads: As much as we love Grant, the rare evening with adults only is appreciated:
• We repeat ourselves less (it is easier to hear without “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”)
• Mental relaxation (not…what is Grant into every 2 minutes)
• Full sentences and longer words (instead of “no,” “awww,” and “come here”
• Larger bites (no cutting up food into small pieces)
• Less observation from others (let’s face it, kids attract attention)
• No rewind, pause, or abandoning the activity (we watched the whole movie and didn’t get up once)
• Not being surrounded by plastic and playschool (although the color scheme is stimulating)
• A quiet ride home (Grant is definitely worn out after too much fun at the grandparents)

So this page is supposed to be about ME and who I am as a scrapbooker. I decided to use a photo of myself + my camera (love it) and also Grant’s cute feet! I enjoy scrapbooking because it is a challenge with so much to learn. Also it is a great way to keep records for me and my family. LOVE the digital aspect of things and all the ways that you can alter and create.

I think I have the front cover finished for my album…love the way it turned out! I can’t take credit for the footprints photo, that was Rachael or Niv (not sure?) But I just HAD to use it because, well, it fits so great into my album! I hope they don’t mind. And picking Grant’s face for the cover was not hard either, he is the cutest of all of us! Hope I like this later as much as I do now…

Busy busy! Almost done…now I just need to look through all of my work. I enjoyed making the year in review page…although it was a little hard to see how much Grant has grown up. Thanks to oscraps.com for the designer spotlight challenge that inspired me with that page.
