So I am keeping up with my class, just not the posts on my blog! Learning a lot and trying to step outside of my “box” in my designs. This class is really making me “think” about how I do things, which helps me spend less time trying to get things to look the way that I want (does that make sense)? On an unrelated note I have been following several blogs related to coupons and saving money…trying to do better with that AND cleaning in the new year. So far doing ok I think, anything extra is an improvement in my book! Another blog that I follow (ourbestbites) had a post relating to hot white bean dip with bacon the other day and I made that this evening…highly recommend it! Delicious!
So here are my LO’s for this week:
Assignment 1

Assignment 2

Assignment 3 (Real World Color)

So this page is supposed to be about ME and who I am as a scrapbooker. I decided to use a photo of myself + my camera (love it) and also Grant’s cute feet! I enjoy scrapbooking because it is a challenge with so much to learn. Also it is a great way to keep records for me and my family. LOVE the digital aspect of things and all the ways that you can alter and create.

Ok, so don’t tell my hubby but I have signed up for another scrapbooking class…finally putting that birthday money to good use. Haha. But seriously, I am going to TRY and use this class to put together Grant’s one year album, which I would LIKE to be done by February, but probably won’t finish until the end of this class in March. Close enough for my liking. I have so much exciting stuff that is coming in the next few months…better take a breather while I can. Anyways, sorry for the rambling, but if you want to check out the class it is “Design Your Life” at bigpicturescrapbooking.com!

WOW what a busy weekend! Grant survived his first Christmas, although he was SUPER tired. We had a lovely time in Ohio visiting all of our family and eating too much (isn’t that the American way). I am trying to catch up on my scrapbook for the January 4th deadline. I also received a new camera lens from my hubby for Christmas (thanks hun)! It is a Canon 50mm 1.4f and I’m sure you can’t wait to see the results (haha). I will be posting some photos from the new lens soon. Until then, enjoy these pages of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with more to come!

Day 19 is our awesome snow day! We had so much fun outside with our neighbors sledding and watching the kids play in the snow 🙂 What a rare treat this early in December…it wasn’t even the first day of winter!!!

Day 22 is just around the house…Grant and Clover playing with a little toy truck and our beautiful snow before it all melts away (I guess it will be rain for Christmas this year in WV).

Love love love this LO! We went to Target today (first photo), then Chris fed Grant some blueberries + yogurt for the first time, then I worked on some homemade Christmas goodies. Full day! Credits for this LO include Tiffany Tillman 25 days of templates, Paislee Press Adorned Kit, Fun and Frosty by Cinnamon Designs, and Winter Retreat by Katherine Designs.

I really did not feel like taking photos today, even though it was nice outside and Grant and I went on a walk to celebrate. I guess I was being lazy or something. But I did have these cute photos of Grant with his santa hat, well Grant trying to remove his santa hat. Haha! He just didn’t want to cooperate. Oh well, makes for a more interesting LO I think! Love that baby boy 🙂

I had a lot of fun making the LO’s for day 12, I just couldn’t leave it all on one page. I had a lot of fun making my ornaments for that party and I think they turned out pretty sweet! I did step out of the template “box” and use a freebie from oscraps.com by Leiko Beck (the LO with the red “snowflake/flower”). I think it fits in really well.

This is the week of parties it seems! We have been busy and I still don’t have all of them scrapped, but I am doing pretty good keeping up I think. So after my birthday on Monday, we went to a small group party on Wednesday, a work party Friday, and and ornament party today! I can’t wait to put those latter pictures in an LO…they are so fun! But that will have to wait until tomorrow!

Day 11

Now onto the next thing…sleep! I’m finally finished baking for the night and ready to get some shut eye!
